New luissantos.net website
Mar 31, 2012 23:59
Long time, no see, right? I've been waiting for the opportunity to re-design the old website and ended up neglecting the old gallery... but now we've got a brand new layout, a nice and easy-to-update CMS and I've already uploaded some new works you might not have seen yet!
My thanks go to Vanessa Nobre, who designed and programmed this new site and feature-filled CMS. Speaking of which, she has a few words for our visitors concerning the website launch:
Vanessa: Hi everyone! Luís was highly involved in every design decision and was very specific about his goals for the portfolio views system, so we both hope you find your way easily throughout the portfolio projects and views.
We wanted to release the website ASAP for professional reasons and therefore we're still in beta stage, so you might find some bugs. I would like to ask you to please send bug reports to my email and not to Luis!
We'll be testing and debugging the website on iPhone, iPad and hopefully some non-Apple devices during the next week, so please be easy on us if you find some inconsistencies for the time being. Also, we're aiming for Friendly-URLS when we get the chance to switch our hosting service, which will occur later this year.
And back to Luís! :)
Luis: I will be posting a new project soon, so do check back once in a while! Also, I'll be updating this journal with videos and still images of my works in progress to "keep the fire burning" for all of You great folks who keep checking in on this portfolio.
Thank you all for visiting!

Say hello to the man in the mirror :)
If my work has made you feel something, then my goal was achieved.
Materializing ideas is what I call an "honest sport", all the way from the initial conceptual fuzziness to the final sharpness. The creation process may be a merry-go-round, a roller-coaster or a high speed flight, but I always take the ride.
I started out sketching, drawing, painting concepts, but soon enough I found myself enchanted by the emerging technologies and decided to embrace 3D CG with all its risks, media challenges and visual rewards.
I will always be learning and pushing the limit, but who won't, right?
Keep your ticket safe, a new ride is just around the corner.
