Trippy, The Chameleon @ 3DArtist magazine
Feb 4, 2013 22:53
Trippy was commissioned by ImaginePublishing, for which I'm very thankful. Don't settle for the cover, there's a full tutorial on how to create your own veiled chameleon inside 3DArtist nr.51.
I'd like to give thanks to the Marmoset Toolbag team and the Quixel team (authors of NDo2) for sponsoring this work with really useful software!
Visit the Trippy, The Chameleon project page if you wish to view extra renders of this artwork.

About
Say hello to the man in the mirror :)
If my work has made you feel something, then my goal was achieved.
Materializing ideas is what I call an "honest sport", all the way from the initial conceptual fuzziness to the final sharpness. The creation process may be a merry-go-round, a roller-coaster or a high speed flight, but I always take the ride.
I started out sketching, drawing, painting concepts, but soon enough I found myself enchanted by the emerging technologies and decided to embrace 3D CG with all its risks, media challenges and visual rewards.
I will always be learning and pushing the limit, but who won't, right?
Keep your ticket safe, a new ride is just around the corner.
